STEPS to reading success

Based on an academic and / or reading assessment, a customized Reading Intervention program will be developed for your child. This will include a number of weekly 45-minute sessions over a defined time period. During the sessions the Reading Specialist will help your child first understand how improving reading skills will make their school and learning experience more enjoyable and then utilize a variety of game-based Reading Acquisition tools that are designed to improve reading skills and confidence, and support overall academic performance. Shaping Confident Readers

STEPS provide Reading Intervention programs for children between the ages of 4 and 14 that are designed to help children read at the appropriate age level in the shortest amount of time possible. STEPS is the only pediatric wellness center in Bahrain with a Reading Acquisition Specialist who has extensive experience working with children with mild to severe learning difficulties, including Delayed Literacy Acquisition, Dyslexia, ADHD and other Learning Difficulties; using innovative methods that are fun and proven to achieve great results.

The Reading Acquisition expert

Amal Ahmed is the only professional Reading Acquisition Specialist in Bahrain. She provides intensive Reading Intervention programs that are customized to meet each Childs’ unique needs. Amal also provides teaching workshops to schools and parents to provide children with an aligned and supportive network to help them reach their reading goals. Amal holds a Masters’ in Education in Reading Acquisition from the University of Exeter, UK.
