Typically, orthoses are made of lightweight materials such as thermoplastics of different flexibility, now in Bahrain we will have the option to choose how our AFO is made whether it is custom hand made, Custom Cad Cam designed, or 3D Printed and it can be used for treating several conditions – Cerebral palsy, Foot Drop, neuropathy etc.

A knee orthosis (KO) is a brace worn to strengthen the knee. This brace is worn around the knee and works by relieving pressure off the part of the knee joint that is affected by ailments such as arthritis or osteoarthritis. They can also offer support for the knee and provide the stability needed to perform daily activities.

E.g Hyperextension brace , ACL & ligament injury braces, Unloader & Offloader Knee Brace for osteoarthritis

Knee Ankle Foot Orthosis (KAFO) is a orthosis that covers the entire leg in an effort to stabilize the joints and assist the muscles of the leg. While there are several common indications for such an Orthosis, muscle weakness and paralysis of the leg are the ones most frequently identified. The most common causes of muscle weakness and paralysis include:

  • Poliomyelitis
  • Muscular Dystrophy
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Spinal Cord Injury

You don’t have to spend long hours for casting or worrying about your clothes tearing apart because of the Knee ankle foot orthosis. we got solutions which are designed to make your life easy while using a KAFO.

A spinal orthosis is an external apparatus that is applied to the body to limit the motion of, correct deformity in, reduce axial loading on, or improve the function of a particular spinal segment of the body.
Conditions – Scoliosis, Kyphosis, injury, Compression Fractures, Scheurmans disease.

E.g – Brace for Kyphosis, Postural deformities, Hyper extension brace,Milwaukee brace etc.

Postoperative total hip orthoses sometimes are used after a total hip replacement in order to prevent the motions of hip flexion, adduction and internal rotation that can cause dislocation. In infants with developmental dysplasia of the hip, which causes hip instability, a Pavlik harness or hip abduction orthosis is used to position hips in flexion and abduction to encourage desired bone development and prevent dislocation.

Hip abduction orthoses are also used to treat children with Legg-Calve-Perthes disease.

We provide Prosthetic Solutions (artificial Limbs) for all conditions be it any level of amputation or any congenital anomaly, with extensive range of components, technology, portfolio available with us we help you in achieving your goal without compromising your mobility with us you would have a journey throughout your rehabilitation process in which we will help you enhance` your potentials physically as well as emotionally.

After your amputation, you may experience substantial swelling in your residual limb. We may prescribe a shrinker to help shape your residual limb and ensure a better fitting prosthesis in the weeks ahead.

We will get to know you, evaluate your strength and mobility condition, and consider about your daily activities. We will listen to your goals and then apply clinical expertise to design the right prosthesis, customized to your specific needs.

When your residual limb is sufficiently healed, you will be measured and fit with a prosthesis. The prosthesis you take home will be custom-made using materials most appropriate for your needs. We will teach you how to put on and how to take care for your prosthesis and supplies.

Your physician, prosthetist, and/or physical therapist will help you learn how to use your prosthesis in your daily activities. Once you are comfortable with basic skills, you may be able to resume more advanced physical activities, such as walking up and down stairs, driving, and participating in sports or other and hobbies.

As your limb changes, your prosthetist will continue to make adjustments to your prosthesis. This may include periodic replacement of the socket or replacing components as you increase your activity level. It is important to follow up with your prosthetist at least every six months to address any issues, especially as your residual limb is changing in size.

Upper limb prosthetics requires specific training and motivation for the user to use it to its full potential as movements in the upper limb are more of precision based, as the complexity increase we incorporate new and innovative training methods for the user based on his goals or occupation
From cosmetic to advanced precision based prosthetic arms, elbows can be incorporated depending on the clinical condition .

After partial foot or partial hand amputation or loss of digits or fingers due to any reason we can provide custom made silicone prosthesis for the patients which are solely for cosmetic purposes but with proper care and training can prove beneficial in other activities too.
